About The Company
Grant Larson Productions is the latest venture from husband-and-wife team Tim and Mary Larson. The company grew out of our first feature production - the award-winning film, Homecoming, by Sean Hackett. We formed the company to develop and produce dramatic feature films, with an emphasis on new filmmakers and strong female roles.
Tim Larson
Tim Larson is polymath developer and entrepreneur. He and his family started a textbook and software development company (Larson Texts) in 1984 - a company that today has dozens of best-selling titles with publishing giants Cengage, Pearson, and Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt. He developed one of the first commercial multimedia hypertext engines in 1987 and published over 70 titles with it. He developed the first fully interactive multimedia textbook in 1992 and shepherded it online in 1995. He has written, edited, illustrated, typeset, programmed, and otherwise developed hundreds of successful projects. In 2010, he turned his attention to film - bringing his development and entrepreneurial skills to yet another media form.
Mary Grant Larson
Mary Larson is a multi-talented designer and businesswoman. For many years she produced multimedia projects at Larson Texts, earning several national awards. In 2001, she turned her attention to building a local entertainment venue in her hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania. The venue attracted a number of nationally touring acts and was popular with artists and audiences alike. In 2007, Mary turned the venue into an even more popular banquet and catering facility - that has become one of Erie's premier venues. Mary designed everything to do with these businesses from identity to interiors and managed them from startup to success. She brings her well-developed eye for detail and her managerial ability to film production

Carly Larson is a talented multiple media craftsperson. She studied: fine woodworking at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, ME; blacksmithing and steel fabrication at Penland School of Crafts in Penland NC; and mold-making at Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snowmass, CO.
